Privacy policy

This explains what we collect when you use Seeing Beyond the Scars, why, and who helps us. In short: we collect very little, we never sell it, and you can ask us to delete it at any time.
Who we are
Seeing Beyond the Scars is a ministry of Christelle Dossou. The website, emails and sales are operated by Impact Plaza Network LLC. You can reach us at seebeyondscars@gmail.com.
What we collect
- When you ask for the free devotional: your email address, your first name if you give it, the time zone your browser reports (so Days 2 and 3 arrive at 7:00 in the morning where you live), and when you confirmed.
- About our emails: which emails we sent you and whether they were delivered. Our email provider also records when an email is opened or a link is clicked.
- When you buy She Is Known: your name, email, what you bought and when. Payment is handled by Lemon Squeezy; we never see your card details.
- When you use the She Is Known app: the devices you sign in on (so access is limited to three) and when.
- Your journal entries stay on your own device. We don't receive them.
- To keep out spam: a scrambled, one-way code made from your internet address when you use a form. It can't be turned back into the address and is deleted within a day.
We don't use advertising, analytics or tracking cookies on this site.
Why we use it
Only to send the devotional you asked for, to deliver what you buy and let you sign in, to answer you when you write, and to keep the site safe from spam. We will never sell or rent your information.
Who helps us
These services process information for us, only for the purposes above:
- Neon stores our contact list and purchase records.
- Netlify hosts the website.
- Brevo sends our emails.
- Lemon Squeezy takes payments as the seller of record, and handles sales tax and receipts.
- Google Fonts provides the lettering on our pages; your browser loads it from Google.
How long we keep it
We keep your details while you're on our list or have access to She Is Known. Purchase records are kept as long as tax rules require. When you unsubscribe, we stop emailing you straight away; if you ask us to delete your details, we do so within 30 days, apart from purchase records we must keep.
Your choices
- Every email has an unsubscribe link that works with one click.
- You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you by writing to seebeyondscars@gmail.com. We'll reply within 30 days.
Children
Our devotionals are written for young women 18 and older. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, write to us and we'll delete it.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If a change affects how we use your information in a meaningful way, we'll email you first.
